From year to year I have found that saving money is one of the hardest tasks that I cannot seem to wrap my mind around. I have a savings account and checking account, yet whenever I find myself in financial trouble I have no problem draining my savings account.

Ill save and save, and as soon as I see something I want, I spend all of my savings. Investing in short term cd’s should help, but I feel as soon as they mature I will find myself spending the money again. If for some reason I am able to save up some money, it seems to never fail that I will run into some kind of financial emergency.

If I dont spend it, guess who does…. the wife. Not simply with splurge shopping, but everyday shopping that needs to be done just to survive. Gas have gone up and everything else along with it. My weelky paycheck doesnt seem to stretch like it used to. Bills are way up, especially electricity during the summer months. Hard to keep the house cool enough, without having a 400 dollar electriciy bill. I will be researching some of the better ways of investing hard earned money that shows a decent return without holding up my money for super long periods of time. Check back often I may actually find something that you may find useful!
